Factory Tour Of Wiesmann Automotive

When America car fanatics think about note worthy auto manufacturers that do not reside stateside, the images of a fighting bull or a prancing horse often pops into memory. Hardly anyone would associate a Gecko with their performance dream cars, unless it is for insurance purposes. Since 1985 this Gecko has been crawling under the speed detectors, and building serious momentum in the automotive world.
The Gecko is the trademark image of Wiesmann GmbH, which is a German automobile manufacturer based in Dülmen, Germany. The company was founded by two brothers, engineer Martin Wiesmann and businessman Friedhelm Wiesmann, and from since conceptualization they have tried to blend the appeal of a classically shaped roadster with that of modern engineering. Recently, Wiesmann allowed us to enter their factory doors and view what it takes to build such a great car that has been crawling under the radar for so long. Check the video below to see some serious engineering works of art.
