How RoboCop Helmet Design Is Protecting Future Law Enforcers

There are many technologies we see in movies we wish we had access to right now. Who would not like to have a car that could fly so that they could avoid the icy roads that the lengthening the drive home. Some movie tech has found there place in reality, like phones that allow you to video chat with the person you are speaking with. But when it comes to lovers of Motorbikes, we have not really seen to many technical advancements jump off the big screen and aimed directly to improving the riding experience, until now.
UNSW designers, finding motivation in movies from Iron Man to RoboCop, envisioned and created the helmet of the future which they believe law enforcers would be using. It is a design that is intended to simplify the current landscape of buttons and systems that motorbike police officers use. UNSW call the helmet the FORCITE; its a sleek design that utilizes lighter stronger materials, incorporates a heads-up display for easier accessibility to vital data and has and inbuilt communication device that allows the wearer to share the information around him.
