Auto Express Test The 2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible

Bentley has answered the question on whether or not a super luxury car can still be considered luxurious without a big raging V10 or V12 engine. CAFE regulations have forced automotive powerhouse Bentley to reconsider how to propel their titanic cars with a more powerful but efficient engine. The automotive engineering landscape is changing where achieving big power is concerned. Fading in the horizon are the days of big B-S ratios and multiple cylinders. Car companies are achieving big power by either utilizing electric motors in a McLaren P1 form or sucking in tons of air with turbo chargers.
Bentley has decided to run powerfully efficient with the use of turbos. Auto Express recently tested the 2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 S Convertible, and found that even though the engine size may have been downgraded, the dramatic driving presence of the Bentley has been unaffected as most owners of a Bentley would rather enjoy relaxing cruise over a mind crushing blast.
