iMoto has been running a weekly segment called iMoformation Friday for some time now. We have covered almost every configuration of Turbo Charger systems that are in use today, from the very simple Single Turbo to the somewhat complex Twin Scroll Turbo. Each weekly contribution was done by Jason Fenske of Engineering Explained.
For today's installment, we are going to compare the pros and cons of each system, noting that there is no perfect system, but that there might be one that better fits a particular driving style and machine. The variables taken into account for this comparison are weight, cost, complexity, efficiency and the most important variable the boost rpm range.
